Have a feeling that I am getting lazy, lethargic, fat, chubby, flabby or whatever these days due to a lack of much needed exercise. So I decided to make really good use of this long weekend and have some exercise but I guess I had overdone it.

I went jogging and cycling. Jogging was fine, just the usual distance I used to run but took some time to adjust as I had not been jogging since I started work.

But the worse was cycling. As usual, I got sun burnt even with all the protection needed. But the worse is that I got myself cut in the leg by crashing into bushes and almost fell and knocked into quite a number of people. People nowadays tend to stop in the middle of the road like nobody business or sudden e-brake. My cycling skill was not that fantastic in the first place so all the accidents are difficult to avoid.

I expected the cycling session to be a 2 hours affair only coz that’s the usual rental hours but who knows we ended renting the bicycles for 5 hours, we cycled from East Coast to Changi Village for nasi lemak and then back. On the way back, it starts to rain quite heavily, so there we are cycling in the rain. I had never cycled this far before so can imagine how pain is it for my butt and legs.

The scenery is the best part. We get to see lots of purple lalang and pines tree (I suppose they are pine trees). Some parts of the journey give us the feeling that we are not in Singapore. I also get to see Changi Jetty which I didn’t even know that it exists. The jetty have rides to Desaru (should go and buy tickets and make a day trip tour) but I don’t think I will make that distance a normal affair.

Overall, I enjoyed my long weekend. I manage to sent ah ma on her last journey, get more rest, exercise and eat…wahahahaha
